Religions and mysticism
Introduction
Islam is the final and comprehensive religion of divine religions. Therefore, the research about different religions is also a research about the different dimensions and aspects of Islam. The common and comprehensive aspect of all religions is their mysticism, and the mystical attitude makes it easy to research other religions and compare them with each other. Therefore, the existence of a scientific group with this title is absolutely necessary for an institution that is responsible for judicial and philosophical research in Iran.
The research topics of this group are: religious studies and philosophy of religion, non-Abrahamic religions, Abrahamic religions, sects and religions of Islam, Shia studies, philosophy of mysticism, theoretical mysticism, practical mysticism, spiritual health.

Goals and strategies
- Re-examining and criticizing the Islamic epistemological heritage in the fields of mystical philosophy, theoretical mysticism, practical mysticism and mystical correspondences, prayer and related topics.
- Efforts to deepen and create dynamism and growth in Islamic religious studies according to new opinions and needs.
- Rearrangement and proper presentation of Islamic knowledge in the language of the times, taking into account the new opinions and needs in the mentioned fields.
- Deriving mystical knowledge from the sources of evidence, especially the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and innovation and theorizing in the subject areas of the group.
- Comparative studies of schools and opinions and interdisciplinary studies in the subject area of the group
- Criticism of deviant and opposing professions and opinions, and answers to induced doubts in the realm of mysticism, spirituality and religions.
