Description of duties
The process of performance evaluation includes performing a set of specific actions and activities that have a special, logical and purposeful sequence. The main stages of performance evaluation are as follows:
Examining missions, missions, macro goals and strategies;
Compiling and setting performance evaluation indicators, criteria and standards based on goals;
Comparing the actual performance with the standards of each indicator and announcing the results and how to achieve them to the evaluator and taking action to apply corrective actions in order to continuously improve the performance of the evaluator through the feedback mechanism.
Duties and powers of monitoring and evaluation management
- Implementation of the approvals and instructions issued by the relevant ministry regarding the evaluation of the institution’s performance, especially research, educational and cultural activities;
- Collecting the required information and statistics within the framework of the approvals of the Higher Education Monitoring and Evaluation Council and analyzing the data and categorizing the related information and preparing a report to be sent to the relevant authorities;
- Cooperation with monitoring and evaluation groups sent by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology;
- Preparing reports related to educational, research, cultural, student, executive, etc. quality and presenting them to the head of the institution for reflection to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology at certain times;
- Evaluation of improving the quality and quantity of research, educational, cultural, student, and executive activities and the efficiency of programs and regulations based on determined factors and indicators;
- Collecting and presenting the necessary opinions and suggestions in order to improve the educational, research, cultural, student, executive, etc. quality.
- Evaluating the teaching method of the faculty members of the institution by completing the questionnaire forms by the students and asking the opinions of the graduates about the strengths and weaknesses of the way of teaching and research in the institution;
- Continuous review and evaluation of the functioning of educational groups and subsidiary units of the institution and submitting reports to the relevant vice-chairs of the institution;
- Examining the problems and obstacles to the qualitative growth of education and research in the institution and providing appropriate plans to improve and increase the quality level of education and research in the institution;
- Monitoring and regularly evaluating the activities of the institution’s managers with the coordination and cooperation of the relevant vice-chancellors;
- Holding training courses and workshops for faculty members, managers and relevant experts of the institution in order to improve the quality of educational, research, cultural, student, executive performance, etc. in coordination with the relevant vice-chairs;
- Preparation of regulations and necessary instructions in the relevant field;
- Supervising the implementation of the institute’s midterm and final exams;
- Monitoring the good implementation of all laws and regulations governing the institution and submitting reports of violations to the head of the institution or the relevant deputies.
- Carrying out all tasks assigned in the field of monitoring and evaluation by the head of the institution.
